Lindsay Holt PhD, RN, CPAN is an Assistant Professor in the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine. She has also worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Perioperative Department with over 17 years of experience in the field. She holds a BSN from Georgetown University, and Master of Science in Nursing and PhD from the University of San Diego.

A long-time affiliate of UC San Diego Health, Lindsay oversaw the education of five units within the Perianesthesia department, while also imparting her expertise in the clinical setting at California State University San Marcos. She was recently published as Editor in Chief of the 2023 UC San Diego Health Nursing Journal and a contributing author to several nursing textbooks including three editions of the Drain's Perianesthesia Nursing Critical Care text. In 2021, she received UC San Diego Health Nursing Excellence awards for Nurse Consult of Empirical Outcomes and Nurse Consultant of the Year, as well as the Marguerite Jackson Award for her dedication to nursing research and education.
